A head to toe examination of your skin, using dermoscopy to look closely at moles and spots of concern.

What to expect at your first skin check
Your first visit is a whole body skin check with one of our doctors. Here is how it works and how to get ready.
Get ready
Remove nail polish, make up and fake tan, leave your hair loose and wear clothes that are easy to change out of. Note any new or changing spots.
Talk it through
Your doctor asks about your sun exposure, sunburn history, family history of skin cancer and any spots that concern you.
Head to toe check
Your skin is examined from scalp to feet. Any spot of concern is looked at closely with a dermatoscope, a magnifying device with a light.
Results and plan
If a spot needs testing, a biopsy sample may be taken and sent to pathology. Your doctor explains the findings and agrees a plan with you, including when to return.
